Stephanie Sharp / President

President and CEO, Stephanie Sharp, made her first inroads to the Web when she was charged to create a Web site for Athens Technical Institute in 1993.

From there, she was highly recruited to the position of Webmaster at the Georgia Division of Public Health. She remained in this position for 3 years.

Realizing the rapid evolving web design industry was in need of strong resources and support for small businesses looking to establish web presences, she tapped her innate entreprenuerial spirit and founded Plexus in 1997. In its 11-year history, the company has grown from the original two (Stephanie and her husband, Buck) to eight employees and more than 300 clients with award-winning web design and Web application development.

Stephanie is the proud recipient of a number of awards and nominations including, but certainly not limited to, three time Athena Nominee, 2010 Georgia Small Business Person of the Year nominee, 2009 Top 40 under 40 entrepreneurs in Athens, GA, and 2010 Top 100 Fastest Growing Businesses owned by UGA Alumni.

Stephanie is also very committed to serving her local community through her service on many boards and her financial support. Her current board service includes serving as President of the Nuçi Phillips Memorial Foundation, Corporate Secretary of the Athens Economic Development Foundation and Secretary of The Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Foundation.
