GEDA Annual Meeting – Savannah, Georgia

Stephanie, Natalie and Kelly traveled south for the annual meeting of the Georgia Economic Developers Association. In addition to exhibiting, the trio presented GEDA’s new Web site, hosting a tutorial on the site’s new functionality including its membership directory, online event registration and more for the 350 members who attended. Highlights from the trip included Savannah sightseeing, visiting with our clients - the Fayette County Development Authority, Georgia Centers of Innovation, OneGeorgia, and the Barrow County Economic Development Authority, and winning big at GEDA's Las Vegas Casino Night.

Georgia Psychology Association – Atlanta, Georgia

Stephanie and Kelly presented a continuing education course for members of the Georgia Psychology Association at the organization’s annual meeting held September 26 in Atlanta. The course taught psychologists from across the state about search engine optimization, process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a Web site from search engines via organic or algorithmic search results for targeted keywords. Not even Friday afternoon Atlanta traffic not the gas shortage kept Stephanie and Kelly from getting psychologists fired up about optimizing their Web sites!

Search Marketing Expo – New York, New York

Kelly recently returned from NYC where she attended SMX, the “must-attend” Internet and search marketing event of the year on the East Coast. In addition to presentations from 30 leading search marketing solution providers, training courses covering paid search advertising (PPC), organic search optimization (SEO), link building, local, mobile, and social searches, analytics and much more, Kelly mixed and mingled with more than 600 companies who sent delegates to SMX. (Be sure to ask her about her chance encounter with Herschel Walker!!)

Ruby Conference – Columbia, South Carolina

Travis, Charlie and Colin attended South Carolina Ruby Conf, a training conference for Web developers who work in the Ruby on Rails framework. Ruby on Rails is an open-source Web framework that is optimized for programmer happiness and sustainable productivity. At the conference they “just learned a lot about Ruby,” according to Travis anyway.
