The Plexus associates will present a course that provides continuing education credits for psychologists from across the state on the topic of search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a Web site from search engines via organic or algorithmic search results for targeted keywords.

The course, “Search Engine Optimization: The Psychology of Acquiring Relevant Web Site Traffic,” will outline benchmarks for Web site success, identify, assess and refine keywords on which to optimize, point out potential Web site weaknesses, and identify strategies for improving Web site performance in the search engines. Designed as a working session, the course will actually take participants through the initial SEO steps with their own Web sites.

The Georgia Psychological Association represents psychology in the State of Georgia (over 1,100 members) and is recognized at the national level for its activism and breadth of activity.
