(Atlanta, Ga.) Matt Forshee, President and CEO of the Fayette County Development Authority, unveiled a new look for the organization at its annual Holiday Luncheon held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center on Thursday, December 13, 2007. Following lunch and a welcome from FCDA Chairman Randy Hayes, Forshee unveiled FCDA's new logo followed by their newly launched Web site that was displayed in real time on a large screen. Forshee gave a demonstration of the Web site's functionality which included local job postings of available positions in Fayette County, a commercial listings system that displays available buildings and sites and includes a way for agents and property owners to submit their listings for inclusion on the site, community data, news and information from Fayette County, an automatically generated e-newsletter and more.
As part of the presentation, Forshee introduced FCDA's new slogan, "Move forward," and explained how it ties in with their mission to help Fayette County businesses and their clients move forward. Move forward not only ties into the new logo but the Web site as well by integrating into the header design that rotates out black and white photos representing different aspects of the community and how it is moving forward.
According to Plexus application developer Charlie Maffitt, "The functionality built into the Web site allows FCDA to control a large portion of the information that is displayed. Everything from the community data, news, commercial listings and more is controlled by Matt and his team through the Web site's Site Manager."
Plexus founder Stephanie Sharp added, "I am extremely proud of the work of the Plexus team for the work they put forth for the FCDA Web site. Despite the obvious challenges of working with a client on an international stage, this project stayed on stayed on budget and on time."
"The staff at FCDA demonstrated a commitment to the project, excellent management of time and resources, and provided strong leadership. These qualities are what we look for in potential clients and projects. The resulting Web site is a testament to our process and the tools we have developed as well as the professionalism, insight and vision of FCDA," said Sharp.
“We’re a small non-profit, so our funding for marketing is limited. When we started looking for a company to handle the redesign and upgrading of our Web site, we knew that we wanted what every company wants: a business partner who would provide an incredible product at an incredible price. We considered six companies and interviewed three. Plexus had all of the others beat in both product quality and price. They were easy to work with, quickly incorporated our thoughts and ideas and gave us a great product that was on time and on budget. They quickly responded to our changes and suggestions and we are exceptionally pleased with the end result. Working with Plexus was so easy, at times it felt like I was communicating with an in-house IT staff rather than an outside consultant. We look forward to more work with Plexus.”
