The Swingin' Medallions

The third annual Dancin’ on the Lawn concert presented by the Athens Area Cancer Auxiliary will be held Friday, August 24 at the Taylor-Grady House on Prince Avenue in Athens. The event will get underway at 6:0 p.m. and the band will take the stage at 7:00 p.m.

The Athens Area Cancer Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that works to eradicate cancer through education, awareness, service projects and fundraising efforts to support local cancer causes. Proceeds from this event and other fundraisers the group holds throughout the year will benefit The Cancer Center at Athens Regional Medical Center, St. Mary’s Healthcare System, the Clute Barrow Nelson Foundation for Life and the Athens/Oconee Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

“Dancin’ on the Lawn is a wonderful event to support cancer-related causes in our community while having a great time,” said Auxiliary President Natalie Rittle. “We invite the community to come out and enjoy the music of the Swingin’ Medallions and shop at our fabulous silent auction.”

Tickets for the event are available now by calling Sarah Schmitt at 706.224.6647. Ticket prices start at $30 and a limited number of table seating is available. A variety of food options are available through Dondero’s Kitchen for the event. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own picnic.
