Travis Roberts,the web application developer at Plexus, recently received a Master of Internet Technology Degree from UGA. Travis graduated with a 4.0 GPA and completed a two-semester long Web application project for the Georgia State University Chapter of Future Healthcare Executives (please note, none of this could be confirmed by anyone other than Travis at the time of publication). Travis participated in graduation festivities on May 12, 2007.
Plexus is pleased to announce the arrival of Andrew Reifman , a UGA student majoring in graphic design. As our intern, Andrew will work on design projects as well as learn XHTML and programming skills.
Lindsay McLear, Plexus' assistant, recently returned from a mission trip to Haiti. Four times a year a group of medical professionals and other volunteers travel to Cap Haitian, Haiti in order to provide primary care to people in desperate need. Lindsay plans to return later this month to continue her work with young children, the sick and the elderly.
Plexus' Director of Client Relations Natalie Rittle got engaged to Will Glenn on June 24. In addition, Natalie was recently installed as the president of the Athens Area Cancer Auxiliary, a local philanthropic group that works to eradicate cancer through education, awareness, service projects, and fundraising efforts to support local cancer causes.
Software Application Developer Adam Parrott recently purchased a 1964 Mercury Comet, a classic car that he is working to restore. Also, Adam has been performing his civic duties by serving on a 14-week grand jury in Athens-Clarke County.
Interactive Designer Buck Sharp is currently working on a major order entry catalog system for an Atlanta manufacturer to transition all sales to online transactions, revolutionizing production workflow for the company and creating a sales tracking system.
Plexus President Stephanie Sharp was selected to serve as a judge for the 2007 W3 Awards which honors outstanding Web sites, Web advertising and Web Videos. W3 is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who"of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms.
Web Developer Colin Jones married to Kathy Couch on December 16 at the Foundry Park Inn in Athens. The newlyweds honeymooned at a hot springs resort in Costa Rica, near the Arenal Volcano. In addition, in May, Colin finished his course work on his path to becoming a Doctor of Musical Arts.
