The Summit Awards, an organization dedicated to furthering excellence in the communications industry, recently recognized Plexus Web Creations as a bronze award winner for communication excellence.

Plexus received the designation for its work on collateral materials for its client, Chimney Ridge, a student development in Clemson, South Carolina. The award recognized a folder system designed and written by the Plexus team that includes multiple informational inserts, brochure, and a custom design folder with unique die cuts and rustic design treatments. Other materials Plexus created for the client included logo design, business stationary, branding efforts, Web site design and development complete with a blog component and roommate finder message board, multiple direct mail and email campaigns, signage, advertising and more.

The Summit Creative Awards recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of small and medium sized advertising agencies and other creative groups with annual billings of $25 million or less. Entries in 13 creative categories are judged against a stringent set of standards. Blindly, judges search for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade. Winners were selected in categories that include print, broadcast, emerging media, online advertising, marketing materials, direct mail, political, corporate, video, public service as well as self promotion, best ideas never produced and a student competition.

The 2007 creative competition included entries from companies and individuals from 26 countries who were judged by a panel of international communications experts that included representatives from TBWA; Ogilvy & Mather; Door Number 3; Paragon Marketing Communications; Ilan Geva & Friends; SP3; Stormhouse Partners; Tantramar Interactive, Inc.; Jeff Fisher LogoMotives; Promoseven Network, Inc.; Stellar Debris Creative Studios; Velocity Design Works; Quantum Advertising and Turner Studios.
